Caroline immigrated to Canada in 1998. Prior to leaving England she completed her education by obtaining a masters degree in the arts.
She worked with black and white film photography for 20 years, and still misses working in the darkroom. Although she is still somewhat of a purist with a fondness for monochrome, she has converted to digital, and has even produced some colour images.
Her work history includes: animation lecturer, independent filmmaker and animator, commercial photographer, court reporter, event manager and custom picture framer.
Caroline has also been a ski bum, hung out with the Canadian peacekeepers in Bosnia, lived in Turkey, bicycled across Italy, climbed Mt. Kenya and Mt. Kilimanjaro, and camped on various mountains in BC in the wintertime.
She’s English, feisty, honest and stubborn – but Caroline doesn’t let any of that get in the way of her photography, as she endeavors to capture and treasure inspiration, to question and explore her world while conveying a little bit of herself to the viewer.
